About Me

Hey there!

I'm Abdul, a 19-year-old guy hailing from Northern India, and I've got an insatiable wanderlust! I'm all about exploring the world beyond what we see in the media and what our parents tell us.

🎯 World Tour - India to South Africa By Land

Besides being a globe-trotter, I'm also a tech enthusiast and a Specialized Accupressure Therapist. I love immersing myself in different cultures, meeting people from all corners of the globe, and even picking up new languages along the way.

One thing you should know about me is that I'm naturally curious, which means I love striking up conversations. Whether I'm on a bus, waiting for a train, or chatting with vendors, I'm always eager to connect with people. I even ask for directions, even if I'm pretty confident about where I'm headed. After all, the more people I talk to, the more they get to know about my incredible journey.

So, if you're up for an unforgettable adventure or just want to share stories, I'm all ears! Let's make some incredible memories together along this incredible journey.

Take care and happy travels!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

➤ Hanging out with the same friends limits my exposure to new ideas and inspiration. How can I broaden my horizons?

➤ Exploring different cultures firsthand allows me to discover unique aspects that aren't found in Wikipedia or travel books.

➤ Couchsurfing has helped me overcome the fear of traveling alone and feeling lonely because I know that wherever I go, I'll have the opportunity to meet new people.

➤ Stepping out of my comfort zone enables me to try new things and engage in experiences I never thought I would.

➤ Making new friends, and occasionally befriending animals, adds to the excitement of my adventures.

➤ Couchsurfing provides a high level of safety. Prior to staying with someone, I have the chance to communicate with them and learn about their background through feedback from previous surfers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I'm a huge fan of Bollywood songs and I also enjoy singing them!

Books:
I'm mostly into travel books and stories that take me on adventures around the world.

Some of my favourite travel books include "The Alchemist," "1000 Days of Spring," "Expedition 196," "On the Road," "Coasting," and "The Beach." However, if I had to pick just one, "The Alchemist" would be my absolute favourite.

Movies: The Motorcycle Diaries, The Mountain Between Us, Wild, The Way Back, True Spirit, Into The Wild And Many More.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As the founder of a pet rescue NGO, I encountered a heartwarming anecdote that still brings a smile to my face. One rainy evening, a frantic call came in about a dog stranded near a busy highway. Without hesitation, my team and I rushed to the scene, determined to save the helpless soul. We found a frightened pup, trembling and drenched, seeking refuge under a broken-down car.

With patience and gentle coaxing, we managed to gain the dog's trust, and soon enough, we had him safely in our care. We named him Lucky, a fitting tribute to his fortunate rescue. After nursing Lucky back to health, we embarked on a mission to find him a loving forever home.

Days turned into weeks, and we tirelessly shared his story online. Just when hope began to waver, an enthusiastic family reached out, expressing their desire to meet Lucky. The moment they laid eyes on him, it was clear that they were meant for each other. Their joy was palpable as they adopted Lucky, showering him with love and promises of a blissful future.

Witnessing the transformation from a scared, abandoned dog to a cherished family member reminded me of the immense impact we can have on the lives of animals. This anecdote serves as a poignant reminder of the incredible difference we can make when we come together for a common cause, providing hope and second chances to those who need it most.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can tell you about the amazing Indian culture, the culture of India is one of the oldest and unique. In India, there is amazing cultural diversity throughout the country. The South, North, and Northeast have their own distinct cultures and almost every state has carved out its own cultural niche. There is hardly any culture in the world that is as varied and unique as India.

Learn:
I am always curious to know the other culture.
I also like to speak another language, so if it is possible I want to learn basic words of your Native language.
If you want to teach me something then I will always be eager to learn.

Share:
I can share some interesting story about my travelling and also want to hear some stories from you.
