About Me

Well, I describe myself most as a learner, I am an Engineer by education and an investment manager by trade.
I play the Oud, a very popular instrument in the MENA region for those who don't know it.
I am infatuated by the idea of living the ordinary lives of people from other cultures, I would prefer nothing more than to travel and be with locals, go to their spots, learn about their politics, hopes and dream, their fears, see what we have in common and what we differ on and generally know them enough to break the illusion of them being secondary people to life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Most appealing thesis for traveling to me is getting to know people and witness their daily lives, leaning of their experiences, hopes and fears. Touching the human side of those we only know on TV, Books and those behind the touristy spots. I wouldn't love anything more than to jump into another person's life and see how they spend their days

Interests

This might be pretentious but I am interested in the human experience, I want to know how other people of different cultures live their lives. How different I would have been if I were born in a different country and a different culture.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you Arabic, help develop your English, teach you a thing or two about investments, explain electromagnetism to you, perhaps even some theoretical physics or differential equations, maybe some game development, gaming history. Something about Arabic music and a thing or two about dealing with hardships

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help around, teach Arabic or English. I'm good with math. Also Arabic culture is very vast, unconventional and widely misunderstood so I could tell you what it means to be an Arab.
