Moreover, I prefer to roam around like a traveller (who loves to explore culture, traditions, local food, use public transport to mingle up) and not as a tourist (doesn't like to roam like a tourist who prefer fancy restaurants, resorts, packages, taxis etc)

One amazing thing I've done: I once organized a cross-cultural event at my company, bringing together colleagues from various countries in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. It was an incredible experience to share our diverse cultures, traditions, and cuisines, and it made me realize the beauty of connecting with people from all over the world.
