Overview
About Me
In February 2018, I moved to Taiwan (NUMBA WAN!) as a graduate student at NCTU. Looking forward to exploring this beautiful island!
This is my profile. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My profile is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my profile is useless. Without my profile I am useless.
(If you get the reference.)
I don't consider myself to be Bruneian. I'd like to think I'm native to the island of Borneo as a whole. Third largest island in the world, and regretfully haven't even explored one-third of the beautiful tropical paradise.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Before I moved to Taiwan, I used to host people that pass by Brunei because I knew that accommodation in the Kingdom is limited and ridiculously expensive.
I'm here to meet new Couchsurfers in Taiwan and help fellow travellers that may happen to be passing by Hsinchu!
Interests
I love salmon. And I love listening to rap/hip-hop music in different languages! I am currently collecting rap music in a variety of languages.

Music, Movies, and Books
Wes Anderson films. Star Wars (May the Force be with you).
I like Indie Music (Arctic Monkeys, The View and Foster the People) Old School Hip-Hop (Beastie Boys, Run-DMC and Jurassic 5) and Rap (Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and Rizzle Kicks).
Oh, I am also a huge fan of Dubstep.
My all-time favourite book is the Clockwork Orange - in my opinion, a true masterpiece of literature encompassing the fragility of human nature and free-will.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the Longest Island-to-Island Zipline in the world! Did it Kota Kinabalu, from Gaya to Sapi Island.
Best 30 seconds ever!
For New Years Eve 2015, I partied in a traditional longhouse with the indigenous Iban tribe of Borneo!
Teach, Learn, Share
A wise man once told me that when learning a new language, the first two phrases you need to know is "I am hungry" and "Where is the toilet?". Then you can learn the swear words.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook student-grade food ;) And of course, we can share our travelling experiences.
I can teach some Malay although weirdly, my English is better than my Malay so I can probably help you improve your English if that's what you would like to do!!
I can play a little bit of Ukulele so if you've got a guitar, ukulele or any other instruments we can probably jam out a song. :)
