About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy every moment of being in a foreign land!

ABOUT ME

Since I had no answers to many of life's great questions, I decided it was time to travel. I don't know that I'm any closer to any answers but I'm certainly having a good time :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I look forward to having a space of my own so I can host many travelers but at the moment I am hoping to find some couches and meet some new people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to have any surfing or hosting experiences but I hope for that to change soon!

Interests

Knitting, cooking, ceramics, photography, dancing, volunteering, recycling, bicycling, letter writing and I am always adding to the list!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge fan of music and love going to live shows. Some of my favorite bands are the Avett Brothers, the Kris Lager Band, Matt Cox, the Civil Wars, the Mynabirds, William Elliott Whitmore and Josh Ritter.

I have to admit that I really enjoy chick flicks even though they generally put false ideas in my head as to what life is going to be like :P.

I enjoy reading but struggle to sit down and do it. I prefer non-fiction but am open to suggestions in all genres.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 10 months traveling around the United States with a team of 10 people through AmeriCorps and it was the most wonderful, trying, crazy experience imaginable. I learned a great deal about myself in those 10 months and would not trade that experience for anything. From cleaning houses ripped apart by a hurricane to digging a handicap accessible trail to building houses with Habitat for Humanity, I was happy to get the chance to travel the United States while giving back.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking with others and knitting is one of my favorite skills to teach others. There is nothing more satisfying than using something you made with your own hands!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
