Overview
About Me
In a nutshell I would describe myself as a reasonable human being.
If it's a detailed explanation you're after, I would associate myself with the followings:
1) A history buff - I love history especially world history! It fascinates me how things that happened in the past could heavily affect the present world which we live in today. History helps me to understand why things are the way they are now and it offers me some kind of consolation, if it makes any sense. Hence, you'll most likely find me visiting historical places and taking history-related tour whenever I'm travelling.
2) A poker enthusiast - It started as a hobby, and little did I know, I grew fond of the game and ended up joining some professional tournaments in several countries (and won once 😉). I love the game because somehow it has managed to teach me a lot about life philosophy than any shrink I've ever been to. Hence, you can find me visiting a poker room as well whenever I'm travelling (though apparently playing poker is illegal in some countries).
3) A lifelong learner - I have high curiosity and as a result I always love learning something new everyday (be it a language, a skill, a culture, or simply just a story from someone's previous experience). I love to absorb any new information and enrich my knowledge of life in general. I believe that learning is the very essence of a human being so that we can pass those knowledge to the next generation and build a better world in the future.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Looking for like-minded people to hang out with.
Turning strangers into friends through the bond of understanding that travelling can actually offer you something more beautiful than your insta-worthy-vacation pictures.
Funnily enough, my best serendipity moments in life are associated with couchsurfing experiences so I'm here to discover more of those serendipity moments because I learned that life will always surprise you when you just go out there and genuinely connect with people!
