About Me

CURRENT MISSION

find a suit which fits my gangly proportions

ABOUT ME

A lazy, friendly chap who generally likes everyone and enjoys arguing to the bitter end over unimportant details with anyone willing to respond , and is therefore trying to become a lawyer.

PHILOSOPHY

Put other people above everything, only do things you actually want to do as far as possible, and you'll have as good time as you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, I am only able to offer my bottom for your couch...the flat I'm going to be living in next year unfortunately has no lounge and very little floor space, but if someone really wants to squeeze themselves in in Kentish Town / Camden Town they will be very welcome!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far! My girlfriend's had some cool Americans over a couple of times who were great, though. Everyone seems to do drawings when they leave - is this a couchsurfing tradition (to which I can absolutely not contribute)?!

Interests

Sitting late into the night drinking wine, listening to Bach with a few friends planning our future domination of the universe with innovative websites.

Music, Movies, and Books

Maurizio Pollini playing Chopin. Life without Buildings playing live at the Annandale Hotel in Sydney.

Currently, Gabriel Garzia Marquez - Love in the time of Cholera. It seems to be purely about lots of people falling in love with each other and occasionally getting a little sick - still, bizarrely, very good!

No Country for Old Men. Bruno.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once recorded Arturo Pizzaro (a relatively well-known pianist) playing a Chopin Etude with one hand in a masterclass.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make a nice English breakfast: a pot of Earl Grey tea, pork sausages, toast, beans, bacon, mushrooms, and fried eggs. That is unfortunately both all the practical skills (skill...) and esoteric knowledge I can impart.

Countries I’ve Visited

India, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

Russian Federation, United Kingdom
