Overview
About Me
Probably like most people here: One of my favorite things to do in the world is to get to know a place and the people in it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling, meeting, exploring, having a good time and surfing with you; hosting, welcoming, bringing out & blowing up my airmattress for you!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
CS is AWESOME! Meeting and hanging out with couchsurfers from places like New Orleans to La Paz--and hosting in NYC (though we've moved upstate in recent years)--has been the coolest thing since sliced bread, with dulce de leche on top.
Interests
Talking w/ strangers until they're strangers no more; and then some. Reading thoughtful/thoughtless writing. Writing. Wandering through every block of NYC, multiple times, eventually. Watching cool films, weird paintings, outdoors & sunshine, with good people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Between the World and Me. Parable of the Sower. Shadows then Light. If I Were Writing This. Black Mountain College: Experiment in Art. Sound and the Fury. Maniac McGee. Centering. etc., etc.
Music: Bob Dylan. Thelonius Monk. Radiohead. Sigur Ros. etc.
Movies: Dr. Strangelove. The Hole. etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To have had manatees swim to me so I can scratch their backs for them.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Mandarin, a little bit of Taiwanese, and inaccurate Spanish. I can try teaching how to self-publish a book, but my humble not-recent experience may be outdated in this fast paced world.
Learn: To build things, or sculpt. And paint. And many other things in this world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, friendship, beers, tapas and/or pizzas, laughs.
Countries I’ve Visited
Guatemala, Spain
Countries I’ve Lived In
