Overview
About Me
I'm a film maker, TED fellow and teacher from India.
Independent filmmaking can be an extremely isolating job. So when i'm not working on films, i love meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures and knowing their stories.
My last film 'Placebo' recently released on Netflix, right now im studying for my masters at the Netherlands Film Academy, Amsterdam, reasearching techno and rave culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm someone who always experiences a place through people. A conversation, sharing stories, a meal, taking a walk, watching a film- everywhere i have travelled its those memories of discovering a city/space through another, or linked to another stays with me most fondly.
I'm like a cat, i can be lazy or just do my own thing usually, so when i travel, I like being the opposite and couchsurfing opens up a sharing experience which, of course, first was an economic decision too, but eventually also became a series of memorable encounters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing and foolish often straddle a thin line ;) In Bali, I got stranded due to a volcano eruption. So me and some friends decided to ride a scooty to see the volcano . Somehow we landed up in the evacuation area and helped a family of locals evacuate. A local took us to an abandoned restuarant by the valley from where we saw the majestic mountain with a surreal red glow.
Amazing? You take a call :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a professional film maker and will be more than willing to connect with artists/people who are interested or are active in independent film making to share with them experiences, stories, tips etc
Here's to more stories!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm flexible with what the host expects: If I'm in the city with my film playing there, i often get tickets for the host and their friends for my premiere show
I can help with household chores too :)
