About Me

I'm a doctor currently in residency for Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. I grew up in New York and moved to Manhattan this year. Although my job takes up most of my day, I try to explore the city as much as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I experienced first-hand the kindness of strangers through Couchsurfing when travelling as a broke medical student -- via Cooking meals together, going out/partying, meeting other friends, discussing serious issues such as world politics (which usually lead to a discussion about American politics...) and our misconceptions about each other's homeland. I know how it feels to come to a city and feel excited yet overwhelmed at all the possibilities. I'd like to pay it forward, and give people the same positive experiences I had. And I hope to learn new things from my guests as well.

Interests

Cooking-- I was contemplating going to culinary school at one point. Food is my biggest passion-- I love understanding the science behind WHY certain ingredients go together. Sadly, I'm allergic to shellfish.

Reading-- I been reading a lot of books lately on my Kindle, especially regarding human psychology.

DJ'ing/Electronic music-- I was a DJ in college, and have a deep love for music, especially electronic music (house/techno). There is nothing like going to a club and getting lost in the music.

Gym/Exercise-- I need to work out to stay sane. I lift weights about 4 times/week. I'm always open to trying a new workout or trying a new sport/activity.
