About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy every opportunity (with a smile). At school my classmates voted me happiest person in the year and I think that pretty much sums me up!
ABOUT ME
I graduated from university with a Sport Sciences degree and went off into my gap year... which turned into two.. and a half. I spent the summer working at a kids summer camp in the US of A and then travelled the US for a bit. I then worked in Whistler, Canada where I worked for a ski season. After completing le ski season I travelled through Australasia and Asia on the way home. Once I returned home I decided I wasn't finished so I went back to Whistler and worked as a ski instructor for three year olds which was awesome! I may have also stopped in Central America before returning home. Finally. I'm now home because I have been accepted into medical school - paediatrics in the long run because I love working with children. I also really like singing. Totally random!
I play hockey, tennis (not too well), badminton and swim (this was also my part time job before I started travelling - teaching swimming), hence the choice of degree (sport sciences BSc). I generally enjoy most sports, including the outdoors adventurous types.
PHILOSOPHY
Grab every opportunity so you don't miss anything! I love making people smile. People look much nicer when they smile. I'm one of those people that just talks to anybody and everybody about anything!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couchsurfed in various places over the US and in Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia!
Hosting when we can!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I heard of CS through friends that I met travelling Croatia a few years ago and I am intrigued to show people my hometown and experience others! Surfed most of my way around the world until I got to Asia when my travelling was too erratic to make any plans! Host also.
Interests
Most sports, animals, books, and films! I really enjoy teaching. I teach swimming to people of all ages... Babies to adults... so if you want to learn to swim....
Mostly I enjoy the freedom of travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books
Twilight, HP, Wicked - the books are much better! The girl with the dragon tattoo trilogy. Uptown girls (the Dakota Fanning movie, not the horrible Westlife song), Idina Menzel, Sara Barelles, Ellie Goulding, Kate Abbott (youtube her!). Shantaram. I could go on...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydive!! Although it really REALLY hurt my ears (I should have expected this because my ears used to when I flew-they don't since my skydive) it was an incredible experience which cannot be explained to anyone! Do it!
Also, visiting an elephant sanctuary in Thailand is up there!
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you how to swim! Or help you improve your swimming. I could teach you a thing or two about my degree ie health and fitness, training methods, physiology.
I would like to learn some watersports other than swimming ie surfing (I've tried it), or wakeboarding.
