My name is Abby. I'm a junior at Ball State studying journalism and sociology. My experience with journalism has enlightened me and made me want to meet people and learn about their culture and their lives. I want to see what's out there for me. I would love to go overseas eventually, but I'll probably end up seeing the country and possibly Central America this summer. I'm about to go into my senior year of college and have to start thinking about where I want to work and settle down, but right now, I'm not limited on what I could.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was raised in a small town and don't feel that I've had enough experiences in life. I'm working on a tight budget, but I'm not looking for a vacation or luxury. I'm looking for something new that will humble me and give me an appreciation for the world around me. I've never been able to say I've climbed a mountain or been immersed in a culture that's foreign to me. Hopefully after this summer, I can cross those off my list.
