Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined when I was planning my first trip outside the US, which I did solo. I thought this would be a great way to meet new people and have a more in-depth experience without breaking the bank.

Now, I'm interested in meeting people from different places and experiencing my home through the eyes of others!

Interests

I love to cook, swing dance, hike, play board games and tennis.

I can geek out about biochemistry, microbiology, books, and education.

I also like to talk politics (when other people also do), and learn about other people's perspectives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in high school, I convinced my city council to purchase and place recycling bins around the city by digging through bags and bags of trash and measuring how many recyclable things were being sent to the landfill. That's a little amazing(ly gross), maybe?

I'm happy to teach swing dancing (East Coast and balboa), tennis, and English.
