My name is Abby Michel and this is my story. I've only known life to be two things: unpredictable and harsh, but I'm trying now to see it from a different perspective. I grew up in ft. Lauderdale Florida but I've moved about sixteen times in my life. I have five sisters and one brother and just recently, I was in Arizona but only lived there for a month. I want to be a novelist. I want to write a kickass novel about life and emotions and the human soul but I'm currently going through a bump in my life where I have little experience. I've lost friends and got lost in the battlefields of my mind and I want to change that. I want to be happy. That's my goal in life: to be happy and complete. I haven't felt that in a while. I want to make it to Oregon so that I can restart my life my way, now that I'm eighteen. I will take on whatever job you have for me: cleaning, house sitting, baby sitting, just hanging out and being a friend, etc. to make it to my next destination, I want to meet new people and stack on experiences that'll stick with me for life. I want to believe that there's more to life than what I've seen and experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm Couchsurfing because I want to start something new with my life. I want to put myself out there and find other people that I can relate to. I want to learn about the world and gain experience in life. My plan is to hopefully Couchsurf and do task for you kind people for money so that I can make my way to Oregon.

Interests

My interest include photography, writing, watching stop motion films, reading, dinosaurs lol, and they continue to grow each day. I'm an avid reader and my favorite author and novel is 'A Little Life' by Hanya Yanagihara. I like stop motion films such as Fantastic Mr. Fox and Coraline. And I'm trying to break out of my shell and venture out in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to Indie mostly but I can listen to all types of genres as long as the music is good. I like all of the Jurassic Park movies but the first one is hands down my favorite. I've recently started watching iconic movies that I never got to see growing up like Armageddon and Things We Lost In The Fire. If you have a bookshelf full of books then I automatically love you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've taken on Slam Poetry and have performed a couple of my poems in front of a crowd-it's a big deal for me because I've had social anxiety. I'll read my poetry to you if we become friends. I have a talent when it comes to words, so I've been told. I can also draw any cartoon character that you can think of, just ask.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with you my life story, my poems and art pieces, my books and many more. I'm introverted and shy but I will talk to you and help you with anything that you need help with. We can hang out for a whole day and I will keep you company-I can also stay out of your way if you want, either is fine with me. I'm very respectful and mature for my age and I will remember you for a lifetime for helping me reach my goal :)
