About Me
We are Abi (26) and German (28), a lively couple looking to travel the world! We are both engineers from Buenos Aires, and are currently living and working in Oklahoma, USA. We are musicians and enthusiastic Lindy-hop dancers ('30s swing music). We also have experience teaching Spanish, English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Lindy hop (quite a variety!). Since we met 10 years ago, we have always wanted to travel, but not in the conventional-touristy way: we want to travel long-term, getting immersed in new cultures and living like a local. We are ready to bring all of our good energy, hard work, ideas and laughs into this experience.
German (by Abi)
German is an Industrial Engineer, but a musician at heart! He's an experienced guitar player, performing in Jazz and Funk bands and in a South American music small acoustic group. He used to work in the oil and gas industry, before moving to Oklahoma to work as a researcher and teaching assistant. He absolutely loves cooking special and intricate dishes, but he's also handy with practical every-day cooking (lucky me!). He enjoys physical activities and being crafty. In fact, he participated in the university's motorsport team, worked as a guitar luthier's assistant and is currently building his own tube amplifier. He's passionate about languages and history, and I would say he has a knack for philosophy, which makes his conversational skills exceptional!
Abi (by German)
Abi is a Chemical Engineer with a future in research/academia, a very artsy pianist and an avid jazz-aficionado. Her colleagues and bosses love her, I'd say mostly because she combines responsible hard work with passion and a great sense of humor. About that sense of humor, sometimes unexpected, it hits you with a taste that I can attest, has developed like good wine. She's fun to hang out with and she's always up for cooking something (I've been a spoiled recipient of her kitchen skills). It's easy to find her taking care of things around the house, she enjoys decorating and re-arranging rooms and, I don't know.... many other small things, from sewing buttons to the nurturing of plants. Her excellent people skills help me meet new people all the time. Always up for a challenge, she's eager to learn about other cultures, share experiences and, above all, make friends!
