ABOUT ME

24 year old child living in brooklyn. learning about and making art - printmaker, drawer, sculptor. i have a tendency towards the nostalgic and the nerdy. a BIG talker. i've loved japanese culture since i was a little kid, and it's my dream to live in tokyo some day. after i graduated college i was lucky enough to live in lima, perú for a year, and i want to go back soon! too many places to travel...not enough time!

PHILOSOPHY

i believe people are basically good, and have a great capacity for compassion...even if they don't always exercise that capacity. i think the highest calling a person can answer is to alleviate human suffering any way they can...but i'm not yet sure how i can do that myself. i believe art at its best performs this function by connecting us to the transcendent. in that way, art is related to magic/religion, and the artist is like a shaman or a priest.
