About Me

I am a social worker with a background in community development and research, insatiably curious about the human journey and YOU (!). I finished graduate school last year and a season of transition is fully underway; at the moment I am bouncing between the U.S. / Australia / Italy / Argentina for contract work in the global experiential education sphere while I look for a community to call home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am eager to take the posture of a learner as I share life alongside others. I am deeply moved by the intentionality and possibility for connection within communities that are chosen, and love the way Couchsurfing promotes this + is an alternative to capitalistic ways of relating. My experiences with as a surfer thus far have introduced me to forms of mutual accompaniment and care that have shaken me up / convinced me that this kind of togetherness can bring about transformative change!

Teach, Learn, Share

I recently wrapped up a graduate program in clinical social work and psychotherapy, so insights re: mindfulness, strategies for emotional health and wellbeing are still fresh. I love chatting with other surfers about all manner of things, and find I am usually the one coming away with lessons learned!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I view Couchsurfing as an opportunity for mutual exchange, and always want to be mindful of interacting with my host in a way that feels good and is responsive to what is going on for them. With that in mind, I bring a laid-back and adaptable approach to being a guest, and strive to be responsive to my host and their own habits + pace of life.
