About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have fun, learn, celebrate others, and create positive change.

ABOUT ME

After many years of bouncing around the country I've settled down in Portland Maine. I'm currently working as Advocacy Coordinator for the Bicycle Coalition of Maine. I spend most of my free time outdoors, cooking, or making music with friends.

PHILOSOPHY

"only children know what they're looking for"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a one-bedroom apartment that's part of a house I share with one other good friend who lives upstairs. Our house is a shared, quiet, fun, calm, and safe place in Portland's East Bayside neighborhood. (Near UFF, Tandem Coffee, Rising Tide Brewery, etc). I have a pull-out couch and/or aero bed I can set up in the living room. I have a very fluffy cat so if you're allergic you'd probably be unhappy here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a handful of people when I lived in Brunswick Maine and had an extra bedroom.

Interests

anything outside - hiking, biking, running, camping, exploring, skiing. i eat lots of vegetables, have friends over for dinner, sing, play fiddle, loll about indoors and out.

Teach, Learn, Share

i have worked one season as a ski instructor, four seasons for the appalachian mountain club, four years for two different bicycle advocacy organizations, one season for the natural resources defense council, three years in college at an outdoor equipment center, i've had countless waitressing jobs and hiked the AT in 2011. i've done a few other long distance hikes since then. now i do a lot of road biking, mountain biking, and running.
