About Me

Recent update: Solo mama to a sweet little Franco-American toddler. Our schedules are quite busy so I'm not always available to host. Or if I host, I don't always have the time to take you around town. But I enjoy meeting people from around the world and sharing my space. Priority is given to women and other people with small children. Weekends usually work best for us. Our home is an inclusive space without racism, sexism, homophobia, or other discrimination. Happy travels to everyone. xo.

Raised in East Tennessee near the Appalachian Mountains (USA). Pretty there with low rolling hills and hot summer nights. My family is musical. My desire to understand more about Earth inhabitants remains strong. Lived in Central America studying sustainable agriculture, worked in India with a water and sanitation organization, and researched water and sanitation issues in France. Love boats and boat-life greatly. You can read more about my work at: www.waterfortheages.org.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To find nice people doing cool things like: growing food in a sustainable way, sailing around the world, participating in communal living arrangement, doing bodywork or energy work, making music, sharing meals, or working for social or environmental justice.

Couchsurfing also seems like a good way to engage in a non-capitalistic version of community in a globalized world. Much better than AirBnB where money exchanges hands, this website allows people to help people - sharing skills and knowledge from around the world. It also is a good way to teach my son to be a better man.
