About Me

Casual traveller, recently finished a cross country trip and might be planning another, larger scaled, one and I travel mainly for food, bit of a stereotypical engineer type, morbid humor (I get along well with the medical community), I might have a caffeine problem that manifests via tea and coffee, and just overall trying to be a bit more social.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Serious travel bug, I want to see as much as I can and learn about people from all over, and I feel like this would be a good opener for it, whether it's just meeting someone who can show me the best food or offering up their couch. Also I'm not sure how many people come through Hburg, but I'm more than happy to provide a space for anyone, it's a nice little town near the Appalachian trail.

I'm also really into experimenting with food... had no idea what I was eating when I was in India, just pointed to something on the menu. I loved it

Interests

Lifting, eating, figuring out how to convert a 1970s moped to electric.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: pretty much everything, Goldfish, Halestorm, Hendrix, Daft Punk, Can Bonomo, Diplo, Emancipator, Phoenix, Kongos, Italobrothers, Kendrick Lamar, Logic, Kid Cudi, Modest Mouse, Incubus, Five Finger Death Punch, Trivium, Nothing More, Florence + the Machine... I can go on forever

Books: mainly psychological thrillers like anything from Douglas Preston and dark comedies like Serial Killers Club, also a big fan of Stephen King but who isn't

Movies: honestly I'm not too big on movies, I liked Pulp Fiction, Donnie Darko, and The Imitation Game. Plus Disney and Pixar movies.
