About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling from France, to Spain and Corsica, and then somehow getting eastward to Slovenia from there, with the goal of waking from Ljubljana down to the Adriatic coast. After that - who knows?

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going, open and social guy. I study medicine and I've worked in psychiatry for a little while, but I can't say I really know where I'll be in five years. But then again, that's part of the fun, right? Love traveling and seeing new places without having too strict a schedule. Hopefully with music and culture and great people in the mix.

Hopefully see you on my next trip!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's all been good! Surfed in Helsinki, Finland, Iraq and throughout Iran (as I am right now!), and have hosted a couple of people in my home in Oslo. But I'm still quite new to couchsurfing

Interests

Meeting people that show me how to live life in a way different from my own, as it offers so much reflection and learning. And the best way to do that is by traveling! Apart from that my interests are music, literature, soccer, movies, politics, philosophy ++

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Tool, Built to Spill, Isis, Radiohead, Red Sparowes, Mogwai, Mastodon, Explosions in the Sky, Iron and Wine ... and electronica too, especially when I go out.

Movies: Pretty much everything David Lynch has made. Kubrick, Polanski, PT Anderson, Coen brothers ...

Books: The catcher in the rye and Notes from the underground, just to mention two of my favorite novels. Also interested in political/international relations theory. "A time for everything" by Karl Ove Knausgård is probably the best Norwegian book I have read.

Series like Six feet under, The Wire, The office, Riget (The Kingdom), Peep Show, Deadwood

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite trip so far was probably going from Iran, through Iraq, Syria, Turkey and Jordan, to get to Palestine and Israel and Lebanon on the coast. Such great people throughout the whole region, with incredible hospitality!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Palestine, Poland, Syrian Arab Republic, Thailand, Turkey, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Norway, Spain, United States
