Overview
About Me
I’m Abby, an English teacher working online. I’m in Dubai for a while organizing work and getting familiar with everyday life here.
My routine is simple — mornings on my laptop, afternoons cooking or going out for lunch, evenings usually social: talking, walking around the city, sometimes a drink. I enjoy good company but I also respect quiet time and personal space.
I usually ask for short stays and I always have backup options, so there’s never pressure. For me Couchsurfing is more about the people and conversations than just a place to sleep.
Happy to meet for coffee first — it makes things more comfortable for both sides.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like seeing how normal life actually feels in a city — routines, conversations, small things you don’t notice as a visitor.
That’s usually more memorable to me than typical sightseeing.
Interests
Hiking, swimming, dancing, movies, game nights, and board games.

Music, Movies, and Books
I tend to rewatch things I really like — Forrest Gump, The Pursuit of Happyness, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Shawshank Redemption, Schindler’s List, and probably too many episodes of Friends.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can help with conversational English or pronunciation, share simple Persian cooking, and I’m always curious to hear how everyday life actually works for people here.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Easy conversation, good humor, and a relaxed atmosphere. I’m naturally talkative but also comfortable with quiet time — I follow the host’s pace.
