About Me

I never know what to say about myself without having a specific question to answer but until I do figure out what to put here you're more than welcome to ask questions.

I suffer a little social anxiety and I'm generally pretty quiet and reserved around most people until I've known them for a day or two.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling, meeting travellers, and sharing stories and adventures with interesting people have accounted for all the fondest memories and most valuable lessons in my life thus far, and couchsurfing and hosting couchsurfers seems to be the best way to go about it.

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical tastes vary wildly according to my mood at the time, but some of my favourite genres include 80's synthpop, 90's pop punk, Celtic punk, hardcore punk, psychobilly, classical, jazz fusion, classic rock, stoner rock, surfer rock, death metal, thrash metal, power metal, prog metal, doom metal, sludge metal, dark ambient, psytrance, witch house, hip hop, trip hop, and dubstep remixes of Gregorian chants.

I love thrillers and horror films, especially vintage horror, Asian horror, and low-budget B-grade splatter films. I also have a soft spot for indie art films, kung fu, Pixar, and anything with Nicolas Cage.

I love reading science fiction and fantasy novels, books about mythology, folk tales, books on psychology and philosophy, and the occasional self-help book. My favourite book series I've read so far is the Valhalla trilogy by Ari Bach, but only if I ignore the last few chapters of the third book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the one act I can be the most proud of is talking a friend out of suicide but I don't think I've done anything exceptionally interesting yet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook some OK vegan meals, I'm not afraid of housework, and I know some pretty good jokes.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, New Zealand
