Hello, my name is Abraham Roldan, and I am currently staying in Long Beach, CA. I love to learn and experience new cultures and have started a passion in traveling and exploring new places. I am a college student at California State University, Long Beach and am looking forward to learn new cultures before I find a career. I am social, outgoing, and respectful of myself and others. :)

I'm on Couchsurfing to form new connections with people, learn new cultures, and recognize the importance of travel. Growing up my teenage years, I've always dreamed to travel and would be able to take a flight with my family to places like the Philippines, Hawaii, and Las Vegas. However, being a child and experiencing those moments didn't expose me to traveling on my own and truly experiencing and understanding different cultures and places. Now that I am an adult, I really want to explore, meet, and appreciate how people in places that I'm not used to interact with their environment. I love meeting people who know all the cool places to eat, travel, and party. Therefore, traveling and making new friends is essential to realizing my place in this universe.

I have a wide range of interests from hiking nature, exploring the city, going to the beach, partying, and going to the gym. My favorite music has to be old school rap like A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, The Pharcyde, KRS-One, and others. I also love reggae, classic rock, jazz, and modern rap/hip-hop. I also am into indie rock, techno, and anything that has a beat you can jam to!

One amazing thing I've done is going cliff jumping. Southern California has so many awesome hiking destinations and trails that I try to make a trip to go hiking at least twice a month. One awesome place where I frequent often is a hiking spot in the Los Angeles National Forest called Hermit Falls. This short little hike descends to the valley of Los Angeles's Santa Anita Canyons and the trail ends at a waterfall where you can cliff jump. The cliff jumping spot is about 60 feet tall! I managed to work up the strength, from countless support of my friends and fellow hikers, to jump! It was an exhilarating and fulfilling experience! If you're ever in Southern California, we can definitely go !

Growing up in Southern California, I have learned a lot about different cultures and how we each bring something so unique within our country and the world. I have also become accustomed to the very places that tourists outside of California always dream of going and doing while visiting. For example, I know how to surf and will be super down to catch some waves with others. Also, I know how to skate and can possibly show you some new tricks, although I may be kind of rusty. Besides that I also know of many hikes and amazing eats all around Southern California!
