Overview
About Me
Jazz musician, decent dancer, conversationalist. I just recently moved back to New Orleans after a Covid exile and while I love this city, I have been interested in checking out some new ones. I'm interested in art, literature, politics, philosophy, pop music, jazz and folk arts from around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a big love of music, I'm always trying to expand my knowledge into new sounds and styles. I play/write/record mostly jazz, soul, some hip hop beats, electronica. I love folk music from around the world, dance pop, new wave, honky tonk...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One's not enough:
first of all, this life of mine/ours is amazing down to the smallest details, and it's a constant challenge to keep that in focus all the time.
to be more specific, a few sunsets come to mind. times on rooftops in cities, climbing mountains in Appalachia, playing music in houses, watching spontaneous music on sidewalks, meeting amazing people on busses, finding my friends or friends of friends or brand new friends in unexpected places.
Hiked three hours into a village in the middle of a contested area of the Lacandon Jungle (see picture above) We thought we might get killed, but it turned out alright :)
Toured the whole United States with a band from top to bottom (12,000 miles!) in a malfunctioning vegetable oil pirate van. and more recently, drove from Italy to Denmark in a 1973 Land Rover 4 speed diesel that went about 45 mph tops and shot black smoke out of the back.
Woke up this morning.
