About Me

CURRENT MISSION

what's a mission?

“The average duration of a hug between two people is 3 seconds. But researchers discovered when a hug lasts 20 seconds, it produces a therapeutic effect on the body and mind. A sincere hug produces oxytocin, the love hormone.
This wonderful tranquilizer is offered for free every time you take a person in your arms, cradle a child, caress an animal or dance with your partner for 20 seconds. Mindful, present therapy for both parties.”
(Nicole Bordeleau)
Yes, this is a free hug home. It's part of the experience. If you're put off by it, or think that it's anything other than a manifestation of friendship and contentment, then perhaps you shouldn't stay here.

ABOUT ME
artistic, non-conformist, non-smoker, multilingual, curious, gay, friendly, politically aware and always ready for exchanges of viewpoints and good discussions. and I've had my three doses of the vaccine. if you haven't, please don't request since my answer will be no.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted lots of people from lots of different countries, and continue to do so.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done numerous apartment- and hospitality-swaps in several cities and have made new friends that way. I'm happy to open my home and just as happy to be welcomed into others. One of the better sides of internet is facilitating personal exchanges, be they artistic, intellectual, cultural or merely friendly, and couchsurfing is an excellent example of that way of seeing the world. I always respond to surfing requests, even if I have to say no!
However, however...my purpose in hosting is not to be a free hotel. If I receive a request that's obviously a copy-paste, the answer will be an automatic no. Same goes for "we arrive at midnight and leave the next morning at dawn". Not interested.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Please read the "additional information" section on the "My Home" page before sending a request. It's a bit long but rather necessary to insure that we get off to a good start and understand each other's needs and wishes before we make an agreement. IF YOU SEND ME A COPY-PASTE REQUEST, YOU WILL GET A SIMPLE "NO" AS AN ANSWER.
