ABOUT ME

Raised in Eugene, OR.

I studied abroad in El Salvador and then studied Peace and Conflict Resolution in the Balkans. I graduated from Santa Clara University and then I took a vow (more or less ) to live simply, explore my spirituality, live in community with six others, and work for social justice for a year. I worked out of a trailer, with five radical Catholic nuns, providing emergency services for the homeless and low income in the city. Every week in New Orleans was an adventure. Truly.

In 2008, I traveled through parts of Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, South Africa, Swaziland, Ethiopia, Egypt, Jordan, Israel and the West Bank, Turkey, India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia and the Philippines with one of my closest friends. I am now working with the hospital in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Working to help uninsured patients gain access to state and federal programs that could assist them. The works seems to be quite engaging.

As for life aspirations, I really hope to meet a beekeeper (and learn the tricks of the trade), become an awe-inspiring magician, perfect my bhangra dancing skills, learn to ride a unicycle, fry an egg on a rock and then savor each bite, go snow camping, and be able to suck a noodle up my nose and then bring it down and out through my mouth..

I like spontaneity and am definitely up to go on an adventure with just a moments warning (or host a couchsurfer with 30 seconds advance notice)....
