HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed (and loved it) but not hosted as of yet. I'm not in a position to host these days, but I would love to meet up with travelers to show them around the city, have coffee, grab a drink, share interests.

Books: I am a bit of a bookworm. I'll read pretty much anything. I love classic literature (Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, and Oscar Wilde are favorites), science fiction, fantasy; Neil Gaiman is a favorite, as well as Tolkien, Michael Cunningham, and Margaret Atwood. Actually pretty much all fiction, some non-fiction, poetry, plays...I'll read whatever I can get my hands on.
Movies: so so many. I'm a huge nerd for pre-1950s romances--pretty much anything with Fred and Ginger, Cary Grant, and Leslie Howard; everything James Dean has done; every Tarantino I've seen; Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, the Princess Bride, Serenity...and now I'm completely blanking out on all the other films I love.
TV: I grew up without TV and have never owned one, but I do love certain shows: Buffy, Firefly, My So-Called Life, Once Upon a Time, Fawlty Towers, Black Adder, Black Books, Neverwhere (technically a mini series, I guess), I Love Lucy, How I Met Your Mother, and The Big Bang Theory.
