CURRENT MISSION
Take advantage of summers OFF as a teacher!
PHILOSOPHY
"Madness you say? Who knows where madness lies? Too much sanity may be madness, and the greatest madness of all is live life as it is, and not as it ought to be."
"None but ourselves can free our minds."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I spent several weeks traveling and volunteering in Turkey a few years ago, and had the most incredible experiences through Couchsurfing. Through the organization, I not only met several wonderful hosts, but made friends with an incredible travel friend, was invited to a traditional Turkish wedding through another member and helped to organize a great CS get-together one night. I can't imagine how differently my trip would have gone without the connections made here!
I have, on the other hand, met a lot of fascinating, fun people through CS events in Chicago! This made a huge difference in my move to the city a few years ago. Looking forward to involving myself more in the St. Louis area, now.
Interests
I adore: teaching, learning, funny kids, cultural diversity, apple pie, random festivals and the woods.
I'm interested in: languages, faith systems, the outdoors, child development, cooking, applying for The Amazing Race, crocheting, new opportunities for adventure.
I want to learn: to play the hand drum well, to speak German, to dance
