About Me
Londoner Born & Bred. Web programmer who has worked for a few startups, before working for the UK Government Digital Service (GOV.UK), before going to volunteer on Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Leadership campaign, before working for the UK Labour Party for 9 months.
Now setting up a charity a brand new charity building community and solidarity in the 21st century. We spent 2016 running test events throughout the UK and in Berlin, connecting small groups of Syrian refugees and local residents to cook and eat together. In 2017 we plan to scale what we have learnt.
I've spent a lot of time at festivals including Burning Man, Nowhere, Glade, Bangface, Bloc, Secret Garden Party, Boomtown, Bimble Bandada, Bestival and Glastonbury.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
a) I like meeting people in new cities and b) as I'm setting up this charity, I don't have much cash, but require travelling around to host events, and go to conferences to try and raise funding.
