About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To say goodbye to the person I became whilst completing my PhD and find my old self again.

ABOUT ME

I'm not a fan of doing these things, but hmm, where do I start?? Okay, so I was born in Portugal and moved to the Chicago when I was 2 years old. My mom is Portuguese and my father is American. I have spent the last 10 years of my life studying and now finally have my PhD (People, listen to me carefully, don't do it to yourself, your friends, boyfriend or family). Seriously, it's not worth it!! I think doing a PhD turns you into an unsociable, horrible freak! It is without a doubt the worst time you'll have in your life!! Ok, enough of that! Bitter, me?? Never ;pI escaped Chicago and the hideous, isolated life that I'd created myself there by locking myself away from everyone who cared about me. Now I have just moved to Melbourne and love it!! I met a girl on the street here who introduced me to couch surfing and a new and positive life and that was only a month ago!! So far I love my new city and the friends I am making and life here in Australia. Melbourne is the best city i have ever been to and I have traveled for work and study a lot!! If I described myself a few months ago, I would say I was a miserable, grumpy bitch and I would not recommend anyone coming near me, but now I feel like a whole new person. I'm happy and find myself laughing and actually loving life again! Thank you Melbourne and the people who live here. You are light, love and hope!!

PHILOSOPHY

Don't ever do a PhD! Don't get caught up in work or study because at the end of the day, it's the people in your life who actually count!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Um, I actually haven't read for pleasure for quite a while. Every book I read for the past four years was because I had to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My girlfriends and I traveling through Europe before I started my PhD, I was so happy then.
