About Me

Embracing our world and getting more inspired by it every moment.

I love building things that make the world cleaner, safer and healthier. I'm an engineer, entrepreneur and design thinker. And I'm a student forever.

I love connecting with new people all around the world. This is how I learn and where I get my inspiration.

We are expats living in Singapore (not exactly locals) and travel often, so response times may sometimes be delayed. We are still learning about Singapore ourselves.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm excited about the world and making it a better place. I find meaning in building things that add value and can scale to millions of people around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To help other travelers. We are travelers too, and can empathize with travelers who might be in a country for the first time and need some help or a sense of a home base. Although we travel quite a bit, we'd be happy to host if we are in town. Send us a note about yourselves, your favorite food, and why you want to stay with us.

We live in Tiong Bahru - the artsy/ hipster part of Singapore. Its has a good mix of old and new where you can get a good cup of organic micro batch-roasted drip coffee for $6 or a nice chicken rice lunch for $3.

*Please don't bring us any gifts. We are not doing this for anything other than giving back to this wonderful community. We are trying our best to be minimalists. Thanks!

Interests

Traveling. Entrepreneurship. Learning. Building things. Being outside. Just being. Meditation. Art. Rock Climbing. Running. Brain health and longevity experiments.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading and a big fan of Yuval Noah Harari and all his books - Sapiens, Homo Deus, 21 Lessons for the 21st century. Stephen Hawking's Brief Answers to Big Questions. Rise and Fall of the Great Powers, West with the Night, The Longevity Diet, Zero to One, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to share what I've learned through my experiences in entrepreneurship. I can share experiences about running a tech startup from inception, to growing teams, fundraising, building a consumer product and bringing it to market. Picked up some different perspectives along the way from silicon valley, china, and SE Asia tech scenes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We have a guest bedroom that can fit ~2 people.
Guest towels, cups, etc.
Washing machine to do laundry if you need.

We don't cook often, but happy to show you around to our local Hawker Centre that has tons of food options on the cheap. We eat here often.

Beer, wine and water at home. Please no cooking at our home. We try to keep the place as clean as possible. Thanks!
