Books and writing, music, visual artists, people who have weird interests like photographing rocks or collecting spoons from all over the world... all likely things to get my attention. My latest passion is cooking and food culture (sitting and eating with good company and good wine and really really tasty food).

I'm still new to couchsurfing, so I haven't really participated yet but I'd like to be a part of something that connects me to the experiences of other open-minded folks around the world. I don't imagine that by staying 2 or 3 days in any place that I'll "know" it, but I would like a taste of what residents' lives are like. My experience made richer because of your experience. ...alright, that's pretty corny...
