ABOUT ME

I am very much a person who likes to meet new and inspiring people. I have an interest in an assortment of academics, traveling and other worldly pursuits. I am in my 3rd year studying at the University of Ottawa and plan on taking a break in January to backpack Eastern Europe.

PHILOSOPHY

It is in my belief that every person you meet you can learn more about yourself. This is because nothing that you do as part of your personality (example say interest in philosophy, calmness, etc) does not spontaneously originate in you alone and without influence from the outside world. Everything we do is influenced by what everyone else does in that your interest in something has been facilitated by someone else's interest. Should you meet a person who say enjoys photography and this strikes your interest, there is no reason to not pursue it. Should you not pursue something that you find interesting just because someone else already is doing it, you will be missing out on much personal growth. Therefore, every new person will expose yourself to a potential new way of life that you could adopt that is most similar to what you are naturally drawn to.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just started using couch surfing and am excited to try it out. I am going to try hosting some people to stay at my place and if they are interested, show them around Ottawa etc.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Well, before I came to university, I hitchhiked across Canada with a friend from the west to the east coast, picking cherries in the Okanagon and sleeping in tents. I learned many things about myself and our culture.

The summer after my first year in university, I backpacked through 9 countries in Europe with a friend. Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland and France.
