About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel as much as I possibly can!!
ABOUT ME
Im 21 and a student at American University in Washington DC. Im studying International Relations with a focus in International Development and Environmental Policy. I am fascinated with International Development because a lot of the development programs instated in developing countries piss me off and I want to change them to make them more sustainable, environmentally and culturally to suit the people in the region. I'm a big fan of Fair Trade and ECO-Tourism!! I love to travel and meet new people and am most likely joining the Peace Corps after I graduate!
PHILOSOPHY
VIVA LA VIDA!!! i love that quote made famous by Frida Callo! I believe life is amazing and I aspire to live my life to it's fullest. Which is why i hope that by the time I kick the bucket, I'll have seen most of the world and have developed a greater understanding and appreciation for the world's diversity from people to nature. I also really hope that by the time I die, I can die knowing I've made a positive difference in the world or in someone's life.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music and listen to pretty much everything from country to rock to punk to rap. It's all good. Although I'll admit I listen to rap and country in small doses because i prefer rock, punk and pop. Some of my favorite bands include Matchbox 20, The Format (who just broke up..tear) and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
I'll admit I love my chick flicks. But I also love a good action movie and especially a good comedy.
I also really enjoy reading. I did read and am kind of obsessed with the Harry Potter series. But I just finished reading Khaled Hosseini's books "The Kite Runner" and "A Thousand Splendid Suns" which were both fantastic. I suggest everyone read William McDonough's Cradle to Cradle. Its a fantastic book how we can achieve environmental sustainability.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While working on the coffee co-op in Guatemala I had to clear part of the jungle with a machete so the coffee could grow and then I had to help cut down banana trees then carry them on my head back to the village. It was some of the hardest and most rewarding work I've ever done!
I also hiked Mt. Pacaya which is an active volcano while i was there too. I got about 10 feet away from the flowing lava. It was insane.
Also seeing and exploring the Old City in Jerusalem is probably one of the coolest and most amazing things I've ever done. Everyone no matter their religion should come visit the Old City. The history and the significance of that one location is just incredible and its really beautiful!
Also hiking Petra was unbelievable.
On another note, one of the stupidest things I've every done while traveling, was trying to ride a motorcycle in Ghana. Needless to say, it didn't end well and now im left with an awesome battle scar on my arm.
