About Me

I'm Achraf Abdelkebir, a passionate Computer Science Engineering student at ESI ex-INI, the Higher National School of Computer Science. My world revolves around technology and entrepreneurship, and I'm always eager to expand my knowledge and seize every opportunity for growth, whether it's through events, hackathons, or workshops. Volunteering holds a special place in my heart, and I proudly serve as the Vice President of the CSE club, one of Algeria's most prominent scientific clubs. Through this role, we organize a wide array of enriching activities, including events, hackathons, workshops, and conferences, all geared towards enhancing the student experience in Algeria.

Beyond the realm of technology, I'm also an enthusiastic volunteer with "Plogging Association Algeria," a youth initiative inspired by the Swedish concept of plogging, which combines jogging, exercise, and environmental conservation by collecting waste simultaneously. PAA's objectives are multifaceted, including spreading environmental awareness, promoting exercise, fostering eco-tourism through our eco-tourism committee, and providing educational and recreational activities for children through our junior committee.

In addition to my love for tech and volunteering, I have a deep passion for travel, which fuels my curiosity and broadens my horizons. I cherish the opportunity to share and discover new cultures, learn from the incredible people I meet on my journeys, and create lasting connections that transcend borders. Whether through cooking a traditional dish together, joining in on local festivities, or engaging in insightful conversations about our respective cultures, I'm dedicated to making our time together an enriching and memorable experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here on Couchsurfing because I firmly believe that the essence of travel lies in the people you meet and the experiences you share. It's about creating meaningful connections with individuals from different corners of the world, understanding their cultures, and building bridges of friendship. As a Computer Science Engineering student with a penchant for tech and a heart for volunteering, I've learned that the best way to enrich my travel experiences is by connecting with local communities and immersing myself in their way of life. Couchsurfing offers me the incredible opportunity to do just that. I'm here to not only find welcoming hosts who can provide me with a glimpse of their hometown but also to open my doors to fellow travelers, sharing the warmth of hospitality and the magic of cultural exchange. I'm excited to be a part of this global community, where strangers become friends, and every journey becomes a unique adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is my soul's soundtrack, and I find myself drawn to a diverse range of artists and genres. From the electrifying rhythms of Rap DZ and French rap icons like Nekfeu, Booba, and Maître Gims to the pop anthems of Dua Lipa and the timeless melodies of Shakira and Sia, my musical tastes are as eclectic as they come. I groove to the beats of Taylor Swift and Shawn Mendes, and Eminem's lyrical genius never ceases to amaze me.

When it comes to movies and series, I must confess that I'm a series addict. My all-time favorites include epic tales like 'Game of Thrones' and 'Breaking Bad,' as well as the thrilling heists in 'La Casa de Papel' and the mind-bending mysteries of 'Sherlock.'

As for books, I'm a fan of Dostoevsky's profound novels and find wisdom in 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F**k,' 'Zero to One,' and 'Atomic Habits.' Exploring the realms of AI through 'AI Power,' pondering life's changes with 'Who Moved My Cheese,' and understanding wealth dynamics in 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' have all left an indelible mark on my reading journey.

Teach, Learn, Share

In the spirit of "Teach, Learn, Share," I'm eager to contribute to the Couchsurfing community by sharing my knowledge, experiences, and culture with fellow travelers. Whether it's providing insights into the vibrant tech and entrepreneurial scene in my hometown, helping you explore the hidden gems of my city, or offering a taste of authentic Algerian cuisine, I'm here to make your stay memorable. Moreover, I'm always enthusiastic about learning from others, absorbing their stories, and gaining a deeper understanding of the world. So, let's embark on this journey together, where we can exchange not only a place to stay but also valuable lessons, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I bring a genuine enthusiasm for cultural exchange and a deep appreciation for the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life. What I can share with hosts extends beyond just a place to stay. I'm more than happy to immerse myself in your local customs and traditions, whether it's learning to cook a traditional dish together, joining in on local festivities, or simply engaging in insightful conversations about our respective cultures. Additionally, I'm tech-savvy and can offer assistance with any tech-related questions or challenges you may have. I'm a respectful and considerate guest who values your space and privacy while cherishing the chance to learn from your unique perspective. Let's make our time together a truly enriching and memorable experience.
