About Me

ABOUT ME

A little introductory about myself: Most of the time, I'm the clown in the group making people laugh. So if you don't mind my witty and wicked sense of humour, we might really hit it off well.

I have a dream since young, which is to travel around the world. As i am not financially capable to achieve my dream yet, i will place my foot on one country at a time. I love exploring new places. Love being in the outdoor and i am also willing to try something new. Love meeting new people and can be quite a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I can be random at certain times and that is something you have to get used to. I tend to think/plan a lot before committing to anything but recently i realize that being spontaneous can be very fun as well.

Habitually caught in a perpetual struggle between the subconscious habit of being a social chameleon and a caustic sense of individuality.

My hair is so tough and bristly that barbers sigh and openly contemplate switching careers during haircuts.

Apparently I've been told that i have a nice smile that could stop an earthquake. Fukushima happened because I couldn't get there in time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

will share with you my stories, ideas and culture if you are keen to listen. I am more than happy to show you around some of the interesting places in Singapore over the weekend. If you get tired of listening to me yakking away, we can stuff our mouth with mouth-watering local food and pat ourselves on the tummy afterwards. All in all, I hope to leave you with a lasting impression of Singapore and that you'll have an incredibly fun time with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wunderbar! At the beginning i was quite skeptic about how Cs works but after experiencing it for myself, i have nothing except praises for it. I met many wonderful people during my trip in Europe and learned so much from each and every of them. It made me realize that there is still hope in humanity and that each of us individual can do so much more to make the world a better place by putting aside our difference and unite through culture, travel, interests, language, affection, music and food. I hope that Cs will help connect more like-minded people and that nobody should abuse the trust when the benefit of doubt is bestowed upon you.

One of my greatest takeaway from my travels is that you do not travel for the sake of getting cheap branded stuffs, visiting fancy restaurants, stay in luxurious hotels and shopping at malls. Instead, you travel for the experience. The experience to learn a new language, forge a friendship, reflect on life, find out what you truly want in life, walk the path less travelled and make life more meaningful for yourself.

Interests

I'm really good at taking in oxygen, consumerism, the pursuit of laziness, armchair philosophy, irrelevant tangents, streams of consciousness, procrastinating, parties, keeping chairs warm, letting my mind wander during long walks at night.

Other interests includes collecting Absolut Vodka bottles, making new friends, travelling into unwritten destiny, splashing water in the pool and ordering food with names i don't understand on the menu.

I like the feeling right when the airplane takes off. The feeling of being one with the universe.

I hate tourist traps and people who tries to rip you off just because you're a tourist. Scumbags

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Tokyo on my graduation trip and was amazed at their well-mannered culture. It is a totally different scene from Singapore and ever since then, I've developed a new found respect for their accommodating and gracious values and hope that one day, Singapore will emulate them so that the world will become a better place.

Jumped right into a 42KM marathon and completed it in 6hrs despite the fact that i have never exceeded a distance of 10KM before. Perseverance and determination are a strong force to mess with my friend.

- Licked the Berlin wall
- Bumped into Tom Cruise at Leceister Square
- Watched the screening of Euro cup at Branderburg Gate with probably a million people in the crowd (okay i was just exaggerating but there were a lot of people
- Hitchhiked a stranger's car from Venice to Bologna
- Tried on various guns at a shooting club in Budapest (without all the strict rules like in the Army)
- Mooned at the blue mountain in Sydney
- Bumped into Haha and Skull (Korean celebrities) on my last day in Seoul
