This film is far more than just a movie to me; it's a philosophical debate perfectly wrapped in an adventure drama.It resonates deeply because it mirrors the very pull I feel: the desire for total, unfettered freedom that draws me to the empty coasts of Kelibia, and the pursuit of a life stripped down to the essentials. Christopher McCandless’s journey is a beautiful, tragic expression of idealism taken to the extreme.However, the film's most profound lesson; that "Happiness is only real when shared" is the reason I am on Couchsurfing.
It proves that while nature (like my 10 milewalks!) is essential for the soul's cleansing, the journey is ultimately about the people we meet along the way.It serves as a constant reminder that my passion for the wild must always be balanced by my commitment to the community.

It's less a single event and more of a personal ritual I'm proud of! More than ten times, I've completed a vigorous, scenic walk of over 10 miles along the Kelibia coast.It's my favorite way to earn a meal: starting at sunrise, powering through the challenging coastal tracks, and pushing myself until I earn the view (and the hunger!). But the true reward is always the finish line: a massive, celebratory plate of freshly caught, grilled fish at a small, local eatery near the port. That combination of physical challenge, stunning Tunisian scenery, and incredible food is my definition of a perfect day.
