Overview
About Me
I just started living in London after spending 2 years in Mumbai. Looking forward to exploring this amazing city!
I love history and exploring different cultures, with a special interest in European history. I am also passionate about writing, debating and theater (acting and directing). While on exchange in Prague in 2015, I began experimenting with Indian cuisine and was cooking new vegetarian dishes every week! I also lived in Cologne, Germany (a super underrated city IMO), for three months and had an incredible time there.
Since then, I've been a passionate cook with a penchant for spicy food! ;)
I believe that travelling is history seen first hand - it's a great way to experience the amazing things humanity has achieved over the millenia.
I've experienced many different sides of India and Europe, thanks in no small part to couchsurfing, and I hope to continue experiencing more diverse things via this community!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To experience each new city from a local's perspective rather than a tourist. I believe that meeting natives or long-term residents of a place gives a much better flavour of the place than simply arriving as a tourist. I am eager to exchange and expand my worldview with yours.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have an eclectic range of tastes in music! love popular rock, everything from Coldplay to Pink Floyd. I find it very soothing to listen to Mozart, Beethoven, and Vivaldi as well. And of course, Bollywood, from time to time! :)
The last amazing reading experience I had was reading 'The enchantress of Florence' by Salman Rushdie on a hill overlooking the beautiful city the book takes it name from.
One of my favourite movies in Midnight in Paris, as I often look at old buildings and cities, and even rivers and mountains, and try to imagine what the past would have looked like.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Mumbai, I designed and led walking tours through historic parts of the city. It was an amazing learning experience as I scoured history books and literature and talked to random locals on the street to understand the locality better (and there are so many interesting ones in Mumbai!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I taught myself conversational German and have started learning Spanish as well. Happy to talk about languages over some food!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My perspective of India, as someone who has experienced multiple dimensions of the diverse country. Having lived in both poverty and prosperity in urban and rural India and with close friends from all walks of life, I think I have a well-rounded view of the country. I love cooking so we can definitely do that as well!
