Overview
About Me
I’d consider myself friendly, really easy going, and always keen for something adventurous and exciting. I'm a local guy who grew up in the Scottish countryside and now I'm living in Aberdeen city. I love meeting new people, I just think it fascinating to hear everyone’s life plans and what motivates them and their story of how they ended up sleeping on my couch!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve met some of the most amazing people travelling and had so many strangers be incredibly accommodating and charitable and Couchsurfing is the perfect platform to pay it forward. I’m just super happy that someone has chosen to visit my country and come all the way to Aberdeen so the very least I can do is give them somewhere to stay for the night.
I know it can sometimes be more difficult for men (or couples and large groups) to find hosts in busy cities. It sometimes seems like a lot of hosts prefer pretty little travelling girls and for everyone else it can be difficult to find a couch. I’m happy to accommodate anyone and any group, just give me a message and I’ll see what I can do!
I absolutely welcome templates and copy & paste couch request messages. You definitely don’t need to scavenge through my profile for secret passcodes and spend ages composing detailed requests highlighting all our shared interests and tenuous commonalities. I'm more than happy for you to enjoy your travel time and to just send me a succinct friendly request. Travelling can already be complicated and life’s too short to spend hours laboriously reading numerous profiles. Likewise any gifts are welcomed but not at all expected. I’m just delighted to meet you and hear your story!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love live music and festivalling, it’s just hoot and a great excuse for fully functioning adults to act like children for a weekend. I really enjoy stand up comedy too, I don't have a TV, or Facebook, or read much books but I like to stay half informed with whats happening in the world.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve managed to keep myself alive for three decades on a massive spinning rock hurtling at 67,000 miles per hour around a nuclear reactor.
