About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn as much as I can while having fun... well, maybe just to have fun :)
ABOUT ME
I don't know; Tell me what you think.
Someone who every once in a while wants to get off the information superhighway and own a bar and relax. Then I realize that as much fun as I would have writing stories about the people I would meet, I would get bored and want to find the next adventure.
Already living a great one; Bronx, NY native, lived in Savannah, GA for 11 years and now one of those people that most hate because they love what they get up in the morning and do, everyday (except when vacation time rolls around) while living in one of the cooler cities in the Southeast: Birmingham, AL.
I run a weekday community news blog here in Birmingham called The Terminal. I also have started a consultancy called Urban Conversations working in the areas of community revitalization and social media.
I got on board this whole blogging thing over on Dre's Ramblings (though I haven't been as consistent in recent months).
I figure let what happens next happen and to enjoy the moments that are given to you. I just need a place to vent every once in a while when the moments or thoughts warrant.
I also haven't met too many pints of microbrew that I didn't like...
PHILOSOPHY
Leadership is action, not position.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm still new to CouchSurfing, though I'm wanting to become more involved this year while I figure out just which direction this life of mine heads next. I've been practicing some of what it means to be involved in this on my own in the past two years, staying with friends and new acquaintances while making trips for work though until recently I really wasn't able to even consider returning the favor because of lack of space.
That's changed and so hopefully I'll get a chance to truly pay it forward!

Teach, Learn, Share
If you're interested, I'm willing to share what I know about leveraging this virtual world that exists to your best advantage. I'm also willing when there's good weather to share a thing or two about urban gardening.
