ABOUT ME

I'm honest, sometimes brutally so - if that dress doesn't look good on you, and you ask me how it looks, I'm going to tell you it doesn't look good on you...
I'm a pretty active person. I cycle, play ultimate frisbee and slo-pitch. I enjoy being outside, going for walks or hikes. But I can also curl-up with a book and not move for hours (if it's a good book).
I am a baker by profession, and I love to bake. I also love to cook and I really enjoy eating good food. So it's probably a good thing we don't have a car, cycling and walking allow me to eat pretty much whatever I want.
I like seeing and experiencing new places and things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm brand new to couchsurfing.org, so far, joining is the only thing I've done to participate in the community. But I hope to surf and host surfers in the future. To learn about many people's lives and experiences and to share parts of my city and travels with them as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We (my husband and I) have hosted a few people on our couch. Recently I hosted a couple of guys who were in town for an ultimate frisbee tournament (my husband was away at the time). I hadn't met them prior to them turning up at our door, but we had some good times and I ended up playing on the same team as them. We've also had friends and family come and visit us during our travels. We're from Vancouver, but have lived in Australia and New Zealand, and have been lucky enough to be able to host people coming to visit us and show them around the city we call home at the time.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most kinds of music, country, blues, and soft rock come out on top though.
Movies...I tend to enjoy comedies, rom-coms, action, fantasy. I do not like horror movies or scary movies at all.
Books, I love to read and will read just about anything, if I had to pick a genre it would probably be crime or fantasy.
