COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

we had nearly a dozen CS here in Quebec, and we CSed twice, once in Maine and once in Madagascar.

- Hich-hiking. I think it's the best way to get a gennuine idea of the people, the culture in a given country. I hiched in every country I went.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

music : appart from a few bands like radiohead, arcade fire, the killers and massive attack, I can mostly pinpoint songs rather than bands, and most of the time I don't even know who plays this or that song!

Today's top 10 movies in random order (I change my mind often on these) : the incredibles, snatch, man on fire, the great Lebowsky, batman begins, vendetta, 12 monkeys, forest gump, the first matrix and I found the new James Bond very entertaining.

like most travelers, the craziest stuff happens to you on the road, e.g. while hitch-hiking in Jordan, I ended-up getting a ride on a freight train

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I studied both french and english at uni, so I can help with both languages and even explain differences between french from europe and africa and from here in canada. I can teach some of the history of both languages as well.
oh and if you want to learn about the basics of poker ... :-)

SHARE : I'm also looking forward to share tricks to travel cheaptly. In most of my trips, I try to maximize what my budget can get me. I developped a few tricks, but I'm sure I can learn good ones from fellow couchsurfers.

LEARN : I want to learn how to say thank you in as many languages as humanly possible!!! So far i'm up to 29.
