About Me
I still dream of travelling, but the realities of family life make this a rare treat these days! However I have suddenly got the opportunity of a week of daddy and son time and am determined to make the most of it.
I am an outgoing, (fairly!) relaxed person, who gets bored of routine (e.g. going to work everyday) and enjoys travel. I like to see and experience things which I never have before (this gets harder, the more you travel!) and, in general, enjoy places more, the less developed they are. I normally try and avoid the obvious standard tourist locations and attractions, preferring to find more random and unique stuff.
During my time on CS I've met some really really great people and been amazed again and again by the hospitality people have shown to me. I found it particularly useful in Iran and eastern Turkey.
I love to meet people while travelling, to hear their ideas and adventures, to share experiences and make new friends.
I was driving a Land Rover and started from England. I was originally hoping to make it to China or south-east asia but got stuck at Pakistan (visa issues).
Now I've ended up back in England married to a Georgian I met on the way (with a four year old son)! Currently working to pay of the debts and see where life will take me. Hoping it will be another epic trip of course!!
And yes - my surname really is Couchman!
