ABOUT ME
I've been travelling with my family since I was small, and I've never wanted to give up! I travelled a lot last year, accross Easter Europe and the USA, and hopefully some equally exciting trips this year :)
At the moment I'm at university in Oxford, where I'm studying Classics.
I'm basically quite normal - but hopefully not dull :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate by hosting and giving people somewhere free to stay - with hot food, local sightseeing advice, sleeping space and my balcony :) Some people think that staying for free should be in no way relevant to wanting to couchsurf, but - and this is just my personal opinion - I think that if by letting people stay for free they can afford to see and experience more of the world, then that's definitely a good thing :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have another CS account for when I'm in london (since it was verified I couldn't change cities easily, and I'm only in oxford during term time, so it made sense to make a new account) so if you want to see my references, please go to Alice Kornicki (alicek2409).
Since I joined CS I've hosted and surfed and have had some really positive experiences doing both :) I went surfing around Eastern Europe during Easter and had a wonderful time thanks to the many many lovely people who hosted us and showed us around :) The same goes for San Francisco which was brilliant! Since then I've been hosting in London, and hopefully I can start hosting in Oxford too :)
We organised the European trip through my boyfriend's CS (Danny Garside) , so if you want to see more references to make sure I'm nice and not going to bake you in a pie, there are joint ones for us on his too.

Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach someone some basic Italian, knitting, how to make their own clothes, how to play the trombone, how to make felt, how to put hair in dreadlocks . . . all vital life skills :)
