Hello! I'm Alex. I'm a web developer.

I worked for a music website for many years, then left and am now a developer-for-hire focusing on small startups. In my spare time I like to travel (obviously), read, go to gigs, take photos of the cat, go cycling, and try new things.

I like tea, and anything sweet.

I've hosted a few people in the past (mostly via my ex-housemate, who did all the tricky organisational stuff) and I'm hoping to surf with someone soon for the first time.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I read articles more than books these days. I'm currently reading Bhuddism: A Very Short Introduction. At lunch today I read an article about a US tourist ship that sailed into a hurricane, an article about Chinese matchmaking dating services, and the story of how a detective solved a mysterious murder.

I can talk at length about computer science, photography, startups, and small business. I'm OK at music and helping you fix your bicycle. I've been messing around with some metalwork lately... maybe I could share that?
