ABOUT ME
Like most couchsurfers, I don't mind the unexpected and think that meeting new people is easily the most rewarding aspect of travel. I'd like to think of myself as considerate, generous, interesting and overall an ideal candidate to sleep on your couch, but then again, who doesn't think this of themselves? I'd love to stay up late with a host talking about culture, philosophy, music, science, religion, politics, you name it. I'm also happy to just plop down on a couch and read a book (I hope you don't mind if I peruse through your bookshelf). In short, when it comes to travel, I do my best to let serendipity guide my way, and if it leads me to your couch, I would be thrilled.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just moved to Brooklyn after spending a couple of months traveling. Looking to keep some of that traveling spirit alive and meet some cool people.
Interests
I'm currently a grad student at NYU, studying how cities and computers interact. I love to do things outdoors, whether it's hiking, camping, kayaking, rock climbing, etc., I'm probably interested. I'm a big sports guy as well; grew up playing baseball and running cross country, but I enjoy just about everything. I also love music, play guitar and harmonica, and have an unhealthy obsession with Bob Dylan and the Dave Matthews Band. I think most of all I'm interested in learning, meeting new people and experiencing life in all its ups and downs, which is probably why travel appeals to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a few months in Nepal after graduating high school, teaching and living in a Tibetian Buddhist Monastery as well as getting some trekking in. I'd have to say this is probably the coolest and most unique experience of my life.
I spent last summer studying and exploring in the UK, and I've had some amazing adventures in America, especially in national parks. I've been to Grand Teton, Yellow Stone, Joshua Tree, and spent many fine days exploring Virginia's Shenandoah National Park.
