About Me

I'm a laid back lady who loves life, travels, big art and tiny trattorie. I like CS because I like to encounter new points of view. I'm originally from the subburbs outside Washington DC, next was college in small town Virginia, then two years living it up in the East Village in New York. I've been in Sheffield for over 6 years (minus extended periods in Italy), where I finished a PhD in archaeology. On one hand I love being outside, digging in the dirt, camping, parks and the big-time beauty of nature. On the other, I enjoy city life, the mix of cultures, the tall buildings and the tasty food. In sum:

She sings everyday,
hair like slavic anarchy -
a mozzarella.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a lot, and I like to get the local perspective. CS provides a ready group of open, friendly people that has repeatedly been a link with exciting times and new experiences.
