ABOUT ME
What I do: I make re-creations of endangered plant species out of clay (that look as life-like a possible) and try to show them in their native areas to help raise awareness. I'm a potter and photographer too. I also teach ceramics at several community/university centers.
What I like: Flight of the Conchords, The Beatles, Andrew Bird, Cake (and cake too!), live jazz, swing dancing, fruit popsicles and frozen yogurt on a hot day, recycling, raising environmental awareness, efficient vehicles, gummy bears...
What I know: Traveling is by far the most important thing a person can do. It is the best form of education imaginable.
What I want: To travel to New Zeland and India.
PHILOSOPHY
Love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I think travel should be an option for everyone...not just for those who can afford it. Couch surfing is the best way to accomplish this I've stumbled upon. I hope to be in a good position to host people soon. In the mean time I'd love to meet as many of you lovely people as possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My boyfriend and I have couch-surfed in Ohio, Chicago, and Boston. Someone actually gave us their entire house for a week once not once...but twice! I've made some great friends, and love the personal connection we now have with the places we've traveled.
Interests
Eating healthy and engaging in an active lifestyle. I'm a vegetarian and a big fan walking as much as possible. I also want to live a fulfilling life while leaving as small of an environmental footprint as possible.
