ABOUT ME

I was born in the beautiful southern Indian city of Chennai and spent my early years here. After which I moved to , Indonesia and grew up there. Did my high school in Jakarta and then moved to U.S.A. After nearly a decade there in the US, I moved back home and started my next chapter of expanding my family. And now its been a little over a year, us having moved to Europe and exploring this region.

PHILOSOPHY

I've honestly been a person should never be sort of restricted to any mold that exists in society. That which dictates what one should do and when and how. I believe that life is for living and has to have a purpose. I don't believe in all work and no play. I'm still in search of a true purpose, a calling even!!! I know I'll get there eventually, but until then I'm going to try and make the best use of the moment!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, not exactly CouchSurfing experiences in recent times. But was very active while I was in Mumbai and have met some incredible people on this platform, who have now become good friends. Traveling and seeing a place should not be about crossing the T's and dotting the I's. Which is where the CS platform comes in and takes it to the next level.

Interests

Traveling(but of course), enjoy reading, some music, movies, love cooking, experimenting with all sorts of food, TV shows, Theater-plays (both watching and sometimes acting, volunteering, meeting people, friends!

books - The Last Song of Dusk, The Pearl, The Namesake, Five Point Someone, Da Vinci Code, English August, Life of Pi, Memoirs of a Geisha... a few that i can remember!!!
movies- Life is Beautiful, Saint Ralph, Little Manhattan, Monsoon Wedding, March of the Penguins, and a whole lot more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having lived in 3 different continents and with a love for traveling and adventure there are many amazing things that I have done and seen, but if I were to pick out a best, the top three that stands out include:
- My trip to the ancient Roman excavation ruins in Bath, UK.
- A horse ride down the volcanic crater of Mount Bromo in Indonesia.
- Jungle trek in Sumatra
- Sky diving in Seville, Spain ( tandem from a height of 15,000ft)

Teach, Learn, Share

Definitely the urge to travel and see places that reflect the regions true personality. Its REAL people, not the ones in great big comfy hotels or the tourism industry guide books. Actually, be able to learn/share experiences of the locals, and I hope I will be able to do the same in return. I've truly been a citizen of the world, having lived in 3 different continents, I don't want to confine my identity just by my passport!
